The Think Energy SDG Awards, Africa's foremost platform for sustainability recognition, celebrated significant achievements last year, honoring figures like former Ghanaian President J.A. Kuffour and business magnate Alhaji Dangote. Deloitte, a leading sustainability consulting firm, has been appointed as the official validation firm for this year's awards, affirming its status as Africa's largest sustainability program. Deloitte's oversight ensures adherence to global standards, bolstering the credibility of sustainability efforts across Africa and combating greenwashing.

The SDG Awards 2024
The Think Energy SDG Awards 2024 took place as part of the 5th Africa Energy & Sustainability Summit at Volta Hotel, Akosombo. Focused on the theme “The Financial Sustainability of Africa's Energy Transition - The Role of ESG in Attracting Investment,” the event highlighted the critical role of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors in securing investment for Africa's energy transition.

The awards ceremony celebrated outstanding contributions towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the energy sector. Alongside the awards, the summit featured key concurrent events, including the SDG Expo, and ESG Summit, making it a well-rounded platform for dialogue and engagement on sustainability.

The Think Energy SDG Awards is the first of a kind globally and has awarded to global giants like Ghana National Gas Company, TotalEnergies Marketing Ghana, Ecobank Ghana Limited, University of Ghana, Legon, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi,  Accra Technical University, Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCO), and the Chairman of the Dangote Group of Companies, Alhaji Dangote, etc.
