6th Africa Sustainability Report & Think Energy SDGs Awards 2025

The 6th Africa Sustainability Report and Think Energy SDGs Awards 2025 is scheduled to take place on October 22-23, 2025, at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel (Bugum Hall), Accra, Ghana. This event aims to promote sustainable development in Africa by recognizing and honoring outstanding contributions toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

About the Event

The event is organized by the Association of African Sustainability Practitioners (AASUP) in partnership with the Ministry of Climate Change and Sustainability at the Office of the President, Ghana. It will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, academic institutions, civil society actors, and international development agencies to discuss sustainable development challenges and opportunities in Africa.

Key Objectives

  • Assess Africa’s Progress on SDGs: Evaluate the continent’s progress over the past decade identify areas for improvement.
  • Showcase Success Stories: Highlight innovative solutions and sustainable development practices that are driving positive change in Africa.
  • Recognize Outstanding Contribution: Honor individuals and organizations making significant contributions to sustainable development in Africa.

Event Highlights

  • Africa Sustainability Report Launch: Presentation of a comprehensive assessment of Africa’s SDG progress, offering valuable insights and data for decision-makers and institutions.
  • Think Energy SDGs Awards: A prestigious awards ceremony recognizing individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to advancing the SDGs across the continent.
  • High-Level Panel Discussions and Workshops: Engaging sessions led by thought leaders on topics such as ESG in investment, climate adaptation, and sustainable innovation.
  • School of Sustainability Launch: Official unveiling of the School of Sustainability, in partnership with Accra Technical University (ATU), aimed at nurturing the next generation of sustainability leaders.
