Westin Resort Guam receives Green Key Certificate award for sustainability excellence
The Westin Resort Guam received on March 13 a Green Key Certification award, recognizing the resort’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable hospitality practices, the hotel said in a media release.
The Green Key Certification is an internationally recognized standard for sustainable hospitality.
“This recognition is a meaningful milestone for our team and a reflection of our continued commitment to responsible hospitality,” Westin Resort Guam general manager Abner Acosta said in a statement. “Sustainability is an essential part of our operations, and we are proud to align our efforts with global standards that support both our environment and our community.”
Acosta said Westin Resort Guam remains dedicated to advancing these initiatives while delivering the elevated experiences that guests expect.
The Green Key Certification is awarded to properties that have taken significant steps to protect the environment through implementation of robust environmental programs, best management practices, and comprehensive training initiatives, and innovative engineering solutions, efforts that positively impact both the environment and local community.
